Extra-Curricular Activities & Enrichment
At Walthamstow School for Girls, we understand the value of providing rich and diverse enrichment activities from clubs and sports to trips and events. Enrichment activities create well-rounded and proactive students who approach school life with energy and commitment. They add meaning and depth to their learning experiences and often allow the opportunity to let off steam! We encourage all students to try extra-curricular activities and have introduced a reward system to support them with this.
Some of our activities include:
- Extra-Curricular clubs and activities (from sports to craft to debating and many more)
- Trips and visits within the UK and overseas
- Charity/fundraising work
- In-school events
- Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award
- School Council
- Specialist School Outreach activities
More information on some of our activities can be found on the pages listed on the left of your screen.
Students who engage in extra-curricular activities are more engaged in school life, are more proactive and are more likely to have a healthy school-life balance. Colleges and employers look for well-rounded and proactive students and are very keen to recruit students who play an active role in school life.
