Bebras 2019 Challenge

Computational Thinking for Year 9
All Year 9 students took part in the Bebras 2019 Challenge during their computing lessons. Every participant had a unique login to access the challenge and try to solve as many problems as they could in 40 minutes.
The activity was a great success and many students suggested we plan similar activities again in the future. The results were posted by Bebras a week later and we have had some great scores with the following students achieving these awards:
Best in School - Alba 9H
Distinction (top 10% nationally in the intermediate age group)
The following students will have the opportunity to take part in the 2020 Oxford Computing Challenge. This is another computer science challenge that is run by the University of Oxford, students who do well in the Bebras challenge are invited to take part in. This will be completed online in school by qualifying students in March.
