Could you be a Parent/Carer Champion?
We’re currently looking for passionate, friendly, and committed parents to become Parent/Carer Champions with the parenting programmes team in Waltham Forest.
Parent/Carer Champions are volunteers who use their own lived experience of parenting to support and encourage other local families. They play a key role in building connections across our community, helping parents to access services, feel less isolated, and know they’re not alone in the challenges of family life.
What does a Parent/Carer Champion do?
- Share information about local services, courses, and support available for families
- Chat with other parents in your community—formally or informally
- Use your experience to inspire and empower others
- Help shape how services are delivered by feeding back what matters to families.
What we offer:
- Full training and ongoing support
- Flexible volunteering to fit around your schedule
- The chance to meet new people, build confidence, and make a difference
- Opportunities for personal development, references and progression
Please get in touch using the information on the attached flyer or pass this on to someone who might be interested.
Best wishes
