We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of English.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative team which continues to achieve excellent examination results. The successful candidate must have a genuine passion to teach English and be able to demonstrate creativity as well as a commitment to developing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. It would also be desirable if they have a willingness to develop and deliver GCSE Film Studies, a new course for the faculty to offer students.

The newly established North East London Teaching School Hub is delighted to announce a vacancy for an Administrator to support the operational and administrative work of our hub.  You will be based at Walthamstow School for Girls, the lead school in the Hub, and will work as part of a team across Haringey, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

If you are looking for a challenging role then this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a start-up project, working across three London Boroughs. You must be an experienced administrator who is flexible, adaptable and able to prioritise tasks, often working under pressure. You must have excellent communication and marketing skills with an ability to work collaboratively, establishing networks across a wide range of organisations.

The role will involve:

  • Providing personal assistance to the Hub Director and Project Managers
  • Being the first point of contact for all enquiries and requests regarding the Hub
  • Establishing and day-to-day running of the new Teaching School Hub
  • Website maintenance, communication, course bookings, invoicing and financial tracking
  • Creating an effective social media presence and marketing the work of the hub to schools across our area
  • Developing, designing and distributing promotional materials
  • Supporting the work of the hub in providing outstanding professional development opportunities for all staff.

North East London Teaching School Hub (EENEL 9)

Project Manager

The North East London Teaching School Hub has been designated as one of the 87 new national Teaching School Hubs for Waltham Forest, Haringey and Redbridge, comprising 239 schools.   We are now seeking to appoint a Project Manager to assist in establishing an outstanding provision which will transform support and training for teachers throughout our region.  Our ambition is to ensure that every child has a great teacher who inspires and unlocks their potential.  

We are looking for a Project Manager who is an experienced strategic leader, with a passion to impact children’s lives and a detailed understanding of the educational landscape.  You will be an excellent communicator, skilled in building relationships and networks.  Excited by the opportunity to assist in developing a brand new initiative, you will have the skills to deal with complex challenges and to assist in ensuring that the Hub meets its KPIs.

Working with the Hub Director, you will undertake short-term projects, initially relating to the roll-out of the ECF and NPQs.  You will both assist developing strategy, and in training and quality assuring delivery teams across networks of schools in Waltham Forest, Redbridge and Haringey.

You will be seconded to work for the Teaching School Hub for one day per week, for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years, with reimbursement being paid to your school.
