Head of Faculty - ICT

TLR 1B        Required for September 2021

We are looking to appoint an ambitious and dynamic Head of Faculty to lead and develop our already highly knowledgeable ICT faculty.

The faculty currently delivers Computing at Key Stage 3, Economics GCSE, Computer Science GCSE and a Pearsons Level 2 qualification. The Head of Faculty must be able to deliver and lead on either the Economics GCSE or Computer Science GCSE course.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate high level team leadership skills and be committed to developing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Head of Faculty – Modern Foreign Languages

We are looking to appoint a strong and enthusiastic Head of Faculty.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a highly successful team who achieve outstanding examination results.

At Walthamstow School for Girls we teach French, Spanish, Urdu and Latin. Applicants must be able to demonstrate high level team leadership skills and be committed to developing and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. External applicants must be able to teach Spanish to KS4 level.

Temporary Youth Workers - Scale 3

(£5,389.52 per annum / £11.81 per hour)

10 hours per week – Monday to Friday over the lunchtime period (term time only)

Required for April 2021

We are looking to appoint two Youth Workers to support the management of students outside at lunchtimes. These are temporary roles to assist with the staggered lunchtimes currently in place due to the pandemic.

The role will require the post holder to supervise the safety, and support the high behaviour expectations of the school, of a year group of 180 students at a time. The post holder will need to be able to manage the year group lining up at the beginning and end of lunchtime and be able to verbally address the whole year group to give instructions. They should also circulate with students and engage in informal mentoring where appropriate.

 

This temporary role would be particularly suitable for someone who is considering a career in education, for instance becoming a teacher. It will require an extremely uplifting, positive and encouraging approach. Previous youth mentoring work and/ or sports coaching would be particularly relevant experience for applicants to have.
