Year 9 Latin Trip to St Albans

The Year 9 Latin students enjoyed a glorious day in St Albans.
In the morning they explored the Verulamium museum and had the opportunity to handle and interpret artefacts that have lain in the ground for over 2,000 years.
After enjoying lunch in the beautiful St Albans park, they walked to the ancient cathedral and spent the afternoon there making their own mosaics, inspired by ancient Roman designs.

I really enjoyed it! It was very informative and a nice break from being stuck in the classroom all day. I especially liked being able to wander around the museum myself, so I could just stop to read a sign whenever, and making the mosaics, which was super cool. I definitely think this would be a great experience for future years. Thanks for the fun day!
