Latin & Ancient World Olympiad

Four Year 11 Latin students, Karinaa, Sumrah, Makayla and Albertine, took part in a Latin and Ancient World Olympiad at Tiffin School in Kingston upon Thames.
Our students competed against 28 other teams from schools from all over London and as far away as Portsmouth.
Rounds included solving riddles (in Latin!), spotting the links between ancient historical and mythological figures (in Latin), and working out the Latin names of modern films and TV shows ('amici', anyone?).
Although we didn't win, we were the highest scoring non-selective state school and the girls did incredibly well. I'll leave you with a question from the 'guess the Greek myth told through emoji' round
