Walthamstow School for Girls: What Actually Moves the Dial on Attainment: Vision, Expertise and Alignment
- How do you set up systems to ensure you have a forensic focus on curriculum, assessment and pedagogy?
- How do you balance allowing teachers and leaders to have autonomy over their classrooms whilst also ensuring students benefit from consistent practices?
Walthamstow School for Girls’ strategic approach to developing leadership, subject knowledge and pedagogy, whilst aligning strategies with our vision and values, has led to year-on-year increases in attainment and a sustainable impact on student life chances. Find out more about how we created our ‘culture of continual improvement’ and achievement for all.
During your visit, you will:
- Hear from staff and leaders about the key building blocks in our improvement strategy
- Understand how we set up systems which have helped to sustain high levels of achievement, including for disadvantaged students
- Go on learning walks to look at exemplary classroom practice
- Undertake professional conversations about how you can drive improvement in your own setting.
We know your time is precious and we want you to have a really productive 2 hour visit! We have asked a few additional questions on our booking form so that we can tailor our sessions to our audience. The sessions will be aimed at middle and senior leaders.
