GCSE EXAMINATION RESULTS 2025
Congratulations, Year 11!
We are thrilled to share the stunning achievements of our Year 11 students at Walthamstow School for Girls this year.
Well done to all our students; we are proud of each of you!
At WSFG, we are dedicated to ‘bringing out the gift’ in every student, recognising that success looks different for everyone. While examination results are just one aspect of that journey, we know that strong results can open doors and provide better opportunities. It is with great pleasure that we celebrate some of this year's remarkable successes.
This year we have seen some of our best results yet across key measures bucking a national trend of data. 72% of students achieved a grade 5 or above in English and Maths, compared to 54% in 2019 and 66% in 2024. An impressive 84% of students earned a grade 4 or above in these subjects, up from 79% in 2019.
Our students continue to excel across the board, with 68% achieving 5 or more GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English and Maths, and 31% achieving English and Maths 7+ compared to 18% in 2024. These results have ensured that most of our students leave equipped to pursue strong college courses.

Results Day at WSFG is truly about the students. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces, eager to embark on the next exciting chapter of their lives. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff who were present on the day to celebrate with the students and offer guidance to those who needed it.
Among this year’s high achievers are:
- Serena Hadjadj: 10 grades 7-9, including 4 grade 9s. She will study Chemistry, Biology and Politics at LAE.
- Zainab Sajid: 9 grade 7-9, including 5 grade 9s. She plans to study Biology, Maths, Psychology and Chemistry at LAE.
- Alicja Mutuku: 9 grade 7-9, including 6 grade 9s. She plans to study Physics, Maths, Further Maths and Art at Brampton Manor.
- Constance Grodzicka: 9 grades 7 – 9, including 5 grade 9s. She will study Biology, Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry at Latymer.
Their advice to next year’s year 11 students is to study hard consistently, little and often, but make time for fun and have faith in yourself!
We are incredibly proud of all our students, not just the highest achievers. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, who worked tirelessly to support Year 11, and to our parents for their unwavering support and commitment. Our students’ success has truly been a team effort.
This has been a remarkable year group, full of courage, compassion, and the determination to achieve their ambitions. We are so proud of you and wish you every success in the future.
