Anglo European School Open Evening

We would be grateful if you could inform your Year 11 students and parents  of our Open Evening for our International Sixth Form on Thursday 25th September 2025.  We attach a flyer with details of this event.

Situated in the village of Ingatestone, with excellent transport links throughout Essex and London, Anglo European School has committed to achieving the highest academic success through its distinct international curriculum for more than 40 years. The broad and balanced education, with its challenging additional experiences, produces open-minded and confident young people who are able to communicate effectively in a variety of languages and who have an appreciation and understanding of different cultures, religions and communities in modern Britain and beyond.

Students in our International Sixth Form have a choice of the International Baccalaureate Diploma, Career Programme or four A Levels.Additionally, there is also the opportunity to study selected parts of the IB Diploma with A Levels in our AIB route. All students have the opportunity to study a new language or continue with a current language.   We believe that this gives an unrivalled opening for each student to combine qualifications in a way which best suits their needs.  Details of the four different routes to our Sixth Form can be found through this link:  Sixth Form Curriculum Routes

Additionally, the Anglo European School International Enterprise Academy is a centre of excellence for students studying Business and Economics courses.  Through our accreditation from the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy, students develop Business acumen, Economical and Financial literacy, work-ready competencies and a holistic understanding of the rapidly changing and globalised world around them.   Furthermore, a partnership with Paris Saint-Germain Football Academy enhances the study of languages with sporting excellence and we are a DfE lead Hub School for the National Consortium for languages (NCLE).

A remarkable feature of the school is its visits and exchanges programme.  Sixth Form students have the opportunity to undertake international work experience in China, Frankfurt, Madrid, Paris and Venice, or visit Iceland, the United Nations in Geneva, the historic cities of Krakow and Vienna or Singapore.

With best regards

St Francis Xavier Sixth Form College Open Event

Book tickets here

Activities, campus tours, performances, application zones and more!

Register for fast track entry here

There's just over a month until the St Francis Xavier Sixth Form College open day on Saturday 18th October, so I would be grateful if you could tell your year 11 students and their parents/carers about this opportunity to explore their sixth form options.

We were over-subscribed last year and following this year's 97% level 3 pass rate, 50% high grades and 94% university progression, we expect demand to be even higher, so we don't want anyone from Walthamstow School for Girls to miss out!

We will be open from 10am - 2.30pm, so there's plenty of time to explore the College, talk to the teachers about different options, try out some of our fun activities and complete applications for next year. Students can sign up here.

Our student ambassadors will be giving tours of the campus, so visitors will get to see all the college's fantastic facilities and ask our students all about life at SFX.

If visitors want to head straight to the classrooms and speak to the teachers about courses, staff and ambassadors will be on hand to take them to their destination. Visitors also get a welcome bag and programme with details of where to find the different subjects. Full details on all our A levels, BTEC/UAL extended diplomas and T levels can be found here.

If you want to find out more about the College, our Principal Graham Thompson and Associate Principal Ciaran Graham are holding talks at 11am, 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

Apply for September 2026 in our open day application zone

Following a fantastic 97% level 3 pass rate, over 94% of our UCAS applicants progressed to university this year - far higher than other sixth form colleges. Universities our students are now studying at include Durham, King's College London, Warwick, Southampton, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, York and many more Russell Group and other top universities.

Our application zone will be open throughout the open day, with staff on hand to help complete applications for September 2026. We will then contact the school for a reference, confirm an interview date and If everything is satisfactory, we'll send a conditional offer, leaving plenty of time to focus on GCSEs.

If you or your students have any queries, simply email admissions@sfx.ac.uk .

We look forward to seeing your students on the 18th October!

Best wishes,

Andrew Mitchell

Director of Marketing, Communications and Student Recruitment

PS We have also posted some open day leaflets to the school. If you would like more copies, please email us and we'll send them out.
